Visited the sensational Philippines

A trip that I'll never forget was doing a 3-day expedition on a small boat, going from Coron to El Nido with a small group of strangers, spending the day on board, snorkeling and exploring new places, and overnight, sleeping on remote islands just next to the beach. So remote, we had to swim on shore from the boat. The strangers I met quickly became friends, we sang karaoke, played volleyball, and more. This was an experience I can only recommend to every traveler that doesn't need a 5* hotel to travel. Exploring remote Philippine islands, having those magical sunsets over the ocean, and connecting with likeminded travelers from all around the world is what made this trip my most memorable trip in my life.

This is one of the only photos I have from one of the best and most chaotic trips of my life. What was planned as a surf trip day out turned into a impromptu waterfall adventure due to weather and what was meant to be a short motorbike drive ended up in us lost after 2 hours driving and making it to this random waterfall instead where I proceeded to crash my drone and we got a rainstorm the entireeeee way back!!! Despite all we had the best day laughing and even though my phone got stolen that evening (what a day?!) and I lost all the photos of this trip, it remains one of the highlights!

Understand if you book Cathay for a connecting flight to Asia, you'll leave the comfort of the renowned Cathay economy and business offering and be placed on HK Express once you land at Hong Kong.
This will be even more of a shock if you have a OneWorld airline club privilege, priority check in and boarding, perhaps seat choice, even lounge access&mdash;you lose all that as you get put on HK Express, a budget airline in every sense (though wholly owned by Cathay).
Long queues at check-in, no online option, coming back into HKG and so on. But you can pay a small fee at any HK Express desk and get 'priority'... well worth it to avoid a one- or two-hour check-in wait. As for your seat, well, I just hope it's a short connection.
