My girlfriend and I flew to Cape Town this April. With the forecast being great and excitement for our first intercontinental flight together, we were full of energy to make this trip the best. However, on day 3, the weather gods decided to throw a tantrum...

Winds shifting and massive clouds rolling in, we experienced the worst rain in years (after the trip we found out it was even decades). This sadly stayed until the last 2 days, meaning we had time to catch up. So on the last day we decided to climb Lion's Head, where I shot these two pictures just several hours before we flew back. Which was an interesting flight – even as an avgeek, 2 hours of severe turbulence on an 11-hour flight back to AMS was interesting, to say the least.

We managed to enjoy ourselves, but it was definitely something we won't forget anytime soon 😝
