Our reward for trekking through the misty forest...

A visit to Flores Island in Indonesia does not feel complete without an overnight trek to Waerebo Traditional Village. The trek was roughly two hours up and through the misty forest, crossing bamboo bridges and searching for wildlife. Once we arrived we were shown to our sleeping quarters, all together on mats on the floor in a traditional hut. We had dinner and learned about the village history. The next morning we arose to Indonesian coffee and a beautiful sunrise!
