I was due to fly to Sofia in Bulgaria to get married to my Bulgarian fiancée. When I went to Gatwick I was informed that the little truck that was unloading the bags crashed into the plane and they needed to follow procedures to check/ test the plane damage. I was given hotel room and spent 48 hours playing cards and drinking beer with other passengers, becoming friends with some of them. My fiancé had to postpone the wedding with an extra day, which she said wasn’t funny at all. Now we are happily married for almost 22 years.
