The idea of a beach holiday wouldn’t normally grab my attention but a reduced fare return flight to Aruba via Amsterdam? I jumped at the chance and spent a glorious week on this Caribbean island basking in the sunshine on pristine beaches, Baby Beach beckoning me twice. The fresh seafood washed down with a cool beer as you watched pelicans sunbathing in the sizzling heat was a novel way to escape Yorkshire’s freezing cold. I’d say go somewhere without your own filters.
