Vancouver is a great winter entry point for snow-curious Angelenos. It's chilly but rarely goes below freezing, and there's plenty of winter wonderland stuff just a bit outside the city.

If you're a confident driver, the Sea-to-Sky Highway is the most unmissable stretch of road in BC. The conditions get a bit snowy, so you'll want to rent a car with AWD and winter tires, but you'll be rewarded with enough idyllic winter views to make your friends at home seethe with envy. As an added bonus, the highway ends at Canada's largest ski resort, so bundle up and get ready to hit the slopes!

Of course, if you'd rather stay in Vancouver's mild weather bubble, the country's biggest food and drink festival might be more your speed :-)
