Southern Spain is one of my favorite regions. The mish-mash of architecture, the palm trees, the sun-soaked hillsides and haciendas... it's paradise!
Here in Valencia, you can lie out on that golden sand, meander through the seemingly endless labyrinth of Turia Garden, and enjoy paella in the city that invented it.
But if there's one thing that Valencia is best known for, it's oranges – the citrus fruits start popping up in November, making the city just a little more colorful :-)

It's been almost a year since we saw this route at a solid price! There's a long layover in Lisbon on the way out, but don't let that scare you – TAP offers a free stopover program, so you can stay in Lisbon as long as you like. Consider it a bonus city break, with a side of pastel de nata.
