There's nothing like springtime in Taiwan... 

We're talking warm weather, flowers blooming everywhere, and celebrations galore. That includes the one-and-only Baosheng Cultural Festival, an extravagant two-month birthday party for Baosheng Dadi—the God of Medicine.

Celebrated all over Taiwan, including at the famous Bao-An Temple in Taipei, the Baosheng Festival includes opera singing, parades, fireworks, puppet shows, and so much more. It's one of the least-touristy fiestas on the island, making it a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture. 

This year's festival runs from April 2nd to June 15th, so it's mostly covered by these dates. Just don't stuff yourself with too much delicious gua bao, or you'll miss the fireworks :-)
