Let's face it - flying first class gives you a real taste for luxury. Good thing there's plenty to go around in Stockholm!
The swanky Royal Palace is a great first stop, especially since it's right in the middle of Old Town Stockholm, but we're especially big fans of nearby Drottningholm, an ultra-fancy summer home lovingly designed by Queen Louisa Ulrika in the mid-18th century.
Gripsholm Castle is another must-see, just an hour away from Stockholm by train. You'll come for the massive Baroque theater and the National Portrait Gallery, but you'll stay because you can't stop laughing at this goofy taxidermied lion.
Finally, don't miss Skokloster Castle, the largest privately-owned manor in Sweden. It was built back in the mid-17th century, during the peak of Sweden's "Age of Greatness," and remains one of the best-preserved Baroque palaces anywhere in Europe.
Compared to all that luxury, a lie-flat seat almost feels quaint. Almost.
Jack's take
Probably your last chance to grab first-class flights to Sweden for the Christmas markets and winter holidays. Unless you don't mind waiting for Black Friday and booking last minute, of course - but that's riskier :-)
