It's time to see where those Colombian coffee beans came from!

The country's coffee region is huge, encompassing hundreds of miles of lush green hillscapes. The land and lifestyles out here are so enmeshed with Colombian tradition and history that the entire region itself was declared a UNESCO site.

Pereira is the coffee region's main hub, and where you'll be joining up with your tour or renting your transportation. From there you can head out to see the quieter side of Colombia, enjoying rainforest hikes, hot springs, and idyllic rural towns. Take your pick from dozens of coffee farms, and you can stay overnight in rooms ranging from simple tents to colorful haciendas.

Because the only thing better than waking up to incredibly fresh coffee is sleeping surrounded by it :-)

Jack's take

You can always count on Avianca for a spin around Colombia. As long as they keep these under $400, we'll take the ride :-)
