Does Morocco's Pink City  speak to you, or will the famous movie-name-sharing city have you intrigued?
Yep, we know, your mind immediately thinks of one very famous film when the city of Casablanca lands in your inbox, but this spot has been used as a set in the movies a few times over the years:
- The grand Hassan II Mosque featured as a location in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, with nearby narrow streets also used for a car chase scene.Â
- The city's bustling old medina served as a backdrop in the noughties thriller Body of Lies.Â
- 2001's Spy Game used this location as a double for Beirut.
If the authentic riads and flavoursome food don't draw you in, maybe a chance to spot Tom, Leo, or Brad might do the trick!
But if Marrakesh is more your flavour, the bustling medina is likely to be your first stop.
When it's time to slow the pace a little, El Fenn is an iconic riad for a reason. With a rooftop pool, chic sun loungers, and the ultimate boho decor, it's one for the books.
Whichever you choose, some Moroccan sunshine this winter sounds like a mighty idea to us :-)
Jack's take
The fares to Casablanca are lower than the last time you saw them, and with current jet fuel prices, that's a win for me :-)
