Malta at $705 RT

Good news! It's not too late for that Mediterranean summer you've been dreaming about.

But while everyone else flocks to Italy and Spain, you'll be landing on the highly underrated island of Malta. It's got that classic Mediterranean seaside vibe, a seemingly endless supply of gorgeous sea caves, and history that goes back wayyyy further than you'd think.

You could spend your whole trip just chilling in the island's laid-back capital, but there's no sense in staying put when the rest of Malta is so easily walkable. And since the crowds will have thinned out by August, you'll have plenty of space to wander without interruption.

Pro tip: if you want some real peace and quiet, hop on a ferry to nearby Gozo. It's kinda like Malta's Malta :-)
