Wanna know the best way to cap off a full day of sightseeing in Madrid?
By paying a visit to a 2000-year-old Egyptian temple, of course! Gifted to Spain in the 1960s, the Temple of Debod might sound like it's completely out of place perched in a Spanish park.
But once that low-lying winter sunset hits, lighting up the ancient stones in fiery orange hues, it looks like it was made for this exact spot.
Jack's take
Sure, you might find slightly cheaper fares from Edinburgh or Glasgow, but once you factor in petrol, parking, train fares and travel time, flying straight out of Inverness with a quick stop in Amsterdam might work out to be the better option.
