Take a little step away from the resorts, and you'll be amazed what you find on these islands...
In Tenerife there's Masca, a small village sitting within the Macizo de Teno mountains that's been dubbed as Europe's answer to Machu Pichu.
With Los Volcanes Natural Park's coloured sand and volcanic landscapes, Lanzarote is the closest you'll get to being on Mars any time soon — did you know astronauts prepared for their trips there?!
And then in Madeira, well, once you've hiked through the clouds and up to the 'Stairway to Heaven', or walked along Seixal beach surrounded by lush green forests, it'll feel like a whole other world :-)
