Oh Scotland, how I've missed you!

It's been almost a year, but my passion for your stunning peaks and valleys burns as brightly as ever. Your highlands never left my mind, even as rising prices and fuel costs conspired to keep us apart.

Don't worry, Scotland, I haven't forgotten about your cultural qualities either. My affection is hardly superficial; your pubs, castles, and offbeat attractions draw me in just as inexorably as your craggy coastline.

So, while these Icelandair flights aren't quite as good as the halcyon fares of yesteryear, I knew I couldn't pass up this chance to explore your shores once again.

Ever yours,
