East Coast to Africa
in $590s-$690s RT
5-star Qatar showing off rare deals to southern Africa from Chicago and the East Coast - summer 2021 dates included :-)
Any of these picks will come with incredible scenery and safari opportunities, with Botswana also providing deltas to cruise on and the massive Makgadikgadi salt flats, while Namibia has vast desert dunes that "roar" when you slide down them and pockets of wildlife including elephants, lions and, if you're lucky, cheetahs that have adapted to the desert.
Bonus deals out of a couple of cities in here too, with options for Philly to Rwanda or D.C. to Durban, S.A.
Note: Some routes have overnight layovers in Doha. Qatar Airways do offer free transit accommodation in most of these cases, so phone ahead and confirm that your journey qualifies.
- Covid-related info: Qatar Airways policy only applies to travel up to the end of December at the moment, but we think they will probably extend this. Namibia, Botswana and South Africa are not currently allowing tourists into the country, though hopefully the situation will have changed once these dates 4+ months out come around. Rwanda is allowing tourists to enter on presentation of a negative Covid-19 PCR test.
- Read our guide for common travel questions in this time of coronavirus, we've changed up a few things up with deals too, full info here .
