A lesson in Cork slang that you didn't ask for, courtesy of our very own Navigator Kash? By all means...

Allergic

Definition: Rather than referring to a medical allergy, it is used to describe deep annoyance or dread.

Example: "Jaysus! Have you seen the cost of fares to Europe lately? We're alleeeeeeeergic."

Jointed

Definition: A crowded or busy place.

Example: "The plane was jointed with passengers who scored cheap fares to the Rebel County!"

Langers

Definition: A state of heavy intoxication.

Example: "By the time we stumbled into the Poor Relation, we were langers."

So, lads, don't sit there complaining you're allergic to staying stateside while everyone snaps up these cheap seats.

Might wanna jump on these quick, because the plane will be absolutely jointed with people who know a good deal when they see one.

We won't blame you for being langers come Paddy's Day - just try to look semi-conscious at the boarding gate on the way home, yeah? :-)
