Tunisia in $550s-$580s RT

We're still rolling on Bat Appreciation Week here at JFC! Today's batty deal is to Tunisia, land of bustling old medinas, charming seaside villages, and the desert long-eared bat.

They're pretty well-known for their, you know, long ears, but these guys are also famously tough customers. Despite weighing less than an ounce, long-eared bats are totally hardcore hunters—their favorite pastime is swooping out of the sky, snatching scorpions off the desert sand, and tearing their heads off before devouring them whole.

Human visitors should probably stick to that delicious Tunisian couscous, though; scorpions are a little too crunchy.

Your own trip to the desert should involve a lot more photographs and a lot fewer decapitations :-)
