Laying my cards on the table — I've been watching this virtual cable car video for about 20 minutes...

Riding down Untersberg mountain with that jelly-legged feeling as the car breaches over a peak. Sheer drops below and the snow-blanketed Berchtesgaden Alps as far as the eye can see.

Just imagine how good the real thing is?!

A 30-minute bus journey from Salzburg centre will take you to the base of the cable car, and then it's up, up, up, followed by a short hike to the top at over 6,000ft high.

Now, the cable car is closed for maintenance from 2nd March to 29th March, so why not see if your stomach can summit these sugar-coated peaks instead? :-)

P.S. not flight related, but the background song in the virtual cable car video is a bit of a bop. You should definitely check it out.
