Malta in $720s-$880s RT

A place as gorgeous as Malta is bound to get a bit crowded, but that just makes the quieter corners of the island even more special!

For some alone time, you'll want to head for Malta's southern and western coasts. The village of Dingli is a good place to start, with its striking limestone cliffs and sparkling grottos. From there, head further south, stopping by the 5,000-year-old temples at Ħaġar Qim and the hidden seaside cave of Għar ir-Riħ. Keep following the coast until you hit Marsaxlokk, a colourful fishing village that draws crowds during its famous Sunday markets but is otherwise a peaceful spot to enjoy some terrific seafood.

Just make sure you get back to the city in time to watch the setting sun paint the walls gold.
