The tourism industry in several Central American countries has exploded in recent years: Costa Rica's eco angle, Guatemala's volcanic landscapes, and those Honduran beaches have all rocketed their nations to popularity. 

As for El Salvador? Still a little off the beaten track!

But as safety levels in the country improve, so does the tourist appeal — you can't keep visitors away from natural beauty for very long. Now's the time to drop in, before the Insta-obsessed find out about those black sand beaches.

Or that shockingly turquoise crater lake.

Or that oddly geometric waterfall.

Hmm... I'm starting to rethink this message! I might want to keep this place my little secret :-)
