Want to see Alaska's incredible majesty without all those snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures?

Great news—Just visit in the summer, when the thermometer reads a balmy 65 degrees in Anchorage. Talk about perfect weather to explore some fjords without freezing your toes off!

Of course, if you really want to immerse yourself in nature, aim for Fairbanks instead. The temperatures make it all the way up to the low 70s, and you'll have plenty of sun for hiking, whitewater rafting, and pretty much any other outdoor activity you can think of.

Be warned, though: Alaska summers are so perfect, you'll just have to come back next year, and then you'll have a new tradition on your hands :-)
