Scotland in $680s-$750s RT

Now you might be wondering what the heck a snake emoji is doing in a deal to Scotland, right? Well, turns out there is no Loch Ness Monster emoji. Tragic. Until Unicode sorts itself out, the humble snake will have to stand in for Scotland’s most elusive resident.

A few interesting facts about Nessie:

• we've been searching for her for nearly 1,500 years (the first sighting was in AD 565!)
• her loch is deeper than the North Sea
• she's either a prehistoric plesiosaur, a rogue eel, or the world’s most committed introvert. 

Scientists say she’s not real. Locals say… maybe. Personally, I'd say we're pretty tight :-)
