Medellín's days as a narco haven are long gone, but it's still known for another, equally addictive substance: coffee.

There are a few places to get a truly great cup of joe in the city, but real java-heads will want to get out into the countryside ASAP. Medellín is one corner of Colombia's famous Eje Cafetero (Coffee Axis), so the world's best beans are grown right on its doorstep. You'll definitely want to see for yourself.
