British Columbia
in $210s-$360s RT
It's time to get beyond Vancouver and see the wild side of British Columbia (with a dash of the Yukon!)
Today's theme is "smaller cities surrounded by incredible natural landscapes." Shall we meet the contestants?
- Cranbrook: The gateway to the Kootenay Mountains! Dramatic peaks, quirky towns, and the looooong and lovely Kootenay Lake.
- Whitehorse: Our Yukon stop, and a hub along the Alaskan Highway. So think Last Frontier vibes — wide open and wild, with untouched beauty as far as the eye can see.
- Fort St. John: The other end of the Alaskan Highway! You can start that drive, or enjoy the solitude of Northwest BC. It's so quiet and peaceful up here, they named the river after it.
- Prince Rupert: A coastal fishing town near the Tongass Forest. It's the Pacific (very) Northwest, so whale-watching, boardwalks, and cliffside hikes are in abundance.
- Prince George: The biggest city on our list, this spot is a bit of a grab bag. With a rare inland rainforest, mountains to the east, and a vibrant culture, it's a great pick if you can't make up your mind.
Vancouver who? :-)
