Canary Islands in $480s-$600s RT

With 300 sunny days per year and winter temps in the 60s, it's no wonder that Europeans love to escape the snow by heading to the Canary Islands. It really is like an eternal springtime.

Of course, cheap fares to the Canaries are a lot rarer in the US (especially for you, LA). So we're pleased to be sneaking in on the fun! This Spanish subtropical archipelago (say that five times fast) can be found off the coast of Morocco.  Each island has its own vibe, but you can always expect stellar beaches and rugged landscapes.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, so it offers a little bit of everything: sandy shores, lush forest hikes, and an endless array of seaside tapas bars. One huge must-do? Heading up to Masca — this rural village sits on the edge of a magnificent gorge. 

Sure, it's a bit tough to reach, but the best things always are :-)
