Sure, Europe's got some nice churches, but they've got nothing on this masterpiece!

Let us introduce you to Gergeti Trinity Church, just 3 and a half hours north of Tbilisi.

The hike takes around an hour from Kazbegi and is accessible throughout the winter—just be extra careful after heavy snow.

If you're short on time, an organised tour can whisk you there and back in a day for around €20. Or you can opt for a private driver if you prefer to design your own itinerary.

But renting your own car isn't much more, and the added freedom it brings is well worth it in our opinion. 

Who knows, you may take a wrong turn and end up on a snow-dusted Easter Island :-)
