Whether you're staying in the city or heading for the ski slopes, you need to save a day for a trip to Khor Virap.

Just 45 minutes south of Yerevan, a small stone monastery rises from the grassy plains, set against the dramatic backdrop of a snow-capped Mount Ararat.

Here, nature, history, and legend intertwine, with the wind whispering tales of saints, prisoners, kings, and pilgrims.
