Southern France
in $480s-$580s RT
Just like the musketeers, sometimes the best French flights come in threes! We spotted some cheap fares to a trio of underrated, non-Parisian cities in the country's southern half. Let's meet your options:
Marseille: This is the classic "South of France" experience — think seaside cafés, blue Mediterranean waters, and historic forts. It's also a quick train ride from Nice, so you can double up on French beach towns.
Lyon: The most northern city of this bunch, Lyon is sometimes considered a smaller, less uppity alternative to Paris. It's walkable, packed with Roman and Renaissance architecture, and even earned the label of "foodie capital of France." Competition for that one must have been brutal.
Toulouse: La Ville Rose earned its nickname from its pinkish terracotta buildings, which are really just the icing on top of a beautiful city. Close to the Pyrenees, it's got a dash of cultural exchange with Spain, a lovely mountain backdrop, and an opportunity to check off one of the smaller, harder-to-reach countries in the world.
