Malta in $480s-$530s RT

When it comes to countries that are "melting pots," it's hard to beat Malta. Situated in the Mediterranean between Sicily and Tunisia, the list of cultures who've influenced this nation is a paragraph long and goes back thousands of years. 

You can sense that mixture with every step across the islands. The local language is related to Arabic, the cuisine bears some resemblance to Italian and Greek food, and the architecture ranges from some of the oldest structures on Earth to a cathedral decorated by a Baroque legend fleeing a murder charge.

In other words: It's a good thing so much of Malta is super walkable, because you're gonna want to explore every inch. Grab a pastizzi, listen to the waves crash against the cliffs, and start peeking around corners. Everything here has a long story behind it :-)
