Kathmandu

So…who's got Nepal on their 2026 travel bucket list?
These cheap trips run practically throughout the whole year, so here's a season by season guide to help you pick your perfect dates:
Winter (December-Feb): Experience a cool, crisp and uncrowded Katmandu. This is also the peak season for wildlife spotting in Chitwan National Park. Just watch out for the cold nights and potential mountain closures due to snow fall.
Spring (Mar-May): As the temps start to increase, early morning hikes are the way to go. If you're up for a little adrenaline boost, it's a great time for paragliding in Pokhara giving you unbeatable views of Phewa Lake and the Annapurna Mountain range.
Summer (Jun-Sep): By now, the monsoon season has truly kicked in, so be prepared for heavy rain and limited trekking opportunities. On the bright side, the landscapes are extra and lush and the waterfalls are extra full!
Autumn (October-November): If you've got your sights set on an Everest Base Camp trek, this is the time to do it! Expect clear skies, dry weather and comfortable temps. Book tickets and accommodation early, though, since this is also the busiest season.
P.S. if you do end up booking, please send us a pic from your adventures :-)
