Summer may be drawing to a close, but there's always another excuse for a holiday just around the corner!

This time, we've picked out the finest of BA's short-haul winter trips, so you can either lean into the chilly goodness, or plead blissful ignorance in the Spanish sunshine. 

For a full-on festive foray, we'd suggest a long weekend in Basel. We're talking Christmas markets in not one but three countries. Top tip: look for accommodation over the border in France or Germany to avoid the Swiss premiums. 

But if it's a final hit of vitamin D you're after, swap the mulled wine for sangria in Seville. Nicknamed the "Iberian Oven" for its spicy summer heat, winter temps are much more palatable. And yes, they still have Christmas markets there.
