I've got a riddle for you...
What kind of place has green skies, yellow trees, and white mountains?
The answer: Alaska, during autumn!
To catch those green skies, we suggest a little nighttime stroll. The Northern Lights are hardly a rare sight in Alaska, but find a quiet spot outside Fairbanks, and it's like stumbling into a fantasy world.
For the yellow trees, head to Kenai Peninsula. This one's on my personal bucket list. Those wide, dramatic fjords and black beaches are stunning any time of the year, but they're especially striking with a splash of color.
White mountains, meanwhile, are the easiest to spot! And luckily, you can catch the most famous ones no matter which route you fly, thanks to the great Denali Star.
