San José, Costa Rica in $320s-$370s RT

If you can find the time between ziplining and soaking in the hot springs, make your way over to Tortuguero.

It's kinda like everything great about Costa Rica all distilled into one single place. The main attraction is the national park, home to a whopping eleven different biomes. It gets its name from the turtles that hatch on the beach every year, but there's still plenty to see when those particular critters aren't in season. Like the countless other critters in the park: jaguars, tapirs, fruit bats, crocodiles, parrots, monkeys, iguanas... you get the idea.

When you've finished exploring the jungle, stop by the nearby village to eat some great food and watch the sun set from the beach. And if you can't sleep, there's still plenty to do at night :-)
