Iceland in $460s-$620s RT

I spent a month in Iceland in January, thinking I would be able to finally cross it off my list.

Nope.

Instead, it just gave me the opportunity to compile a list of reasons to return. Here's what I wouldn't miss on my next (summertime) trip: 

• Camper van expedition of Iceland's epic west coast
• Playing with puffins
• Hiking to a natural hot springs river
• Eating at the entirely tomato-inspired restaurant in the Golden Circle. Hint: the bottomless soup and ciabatta are among the cheapest meals you'll find in this entire country!
• Crossing my fingers and hoping I am on-island for their next (safe) volcanic eruption!
