Portland is a city best seen in 3 parts...

• Part 1: The Food. We're talking doughnuts and coffee and salmon and Tillamook and nachos and food carts and craft beers and more! Try saying that a few times fast.
• Part 2: The Weird. Sure, you've seen a few episodes of Portlandia and know about the hipster culture throughout the city, but did you know they've immortalized it all in a museum? Or that the carpet at the airport is so iconic it has its own Wikipedia page?
• Part 3: The Nature. The city itself is lovely, but the forests and river valley surrounding it are the true reasons to visit Oregon. Mount Hood & Crater Lake lie just a bit further out, but they're totally worth the trip.
