Monterrey, Mexico at $234 RT

Imagine you're on a nice little road trip down the PCH, planning a quick stop 2 hours away in Monterey to visit the otters and see stunning rocky coasts.

You open up your maps app, type in "Monterrey," and suddenly see a 29-hour drive pop up. Your eyes bulge, your heart races, and you think "ohmygod ohmygod do I actually have to do this???"

Well ... yes, but you don't have to drive! It's much easier to hop on a 3-hour flight instead.

Monterrey, Mexico is really just like a hipster American city. They have repurposed factories, craft breweries and national parks just completely filled with waterfalls. You know, classic hipster stuff.

And something pretty close to otters, too :-)
