Lima at $323 RT

A lot of folks fly into Lima and then beeline for those famous ruins, but I can think of a few compelling reasons to stick around...

...like fresh-caught ceviche dripping with lime juice and hot chiles.

Or red peppers stuffed with queso fresco.

Or chicken roasted the Peruvian way, with a side of black mint sauce.

And a few pisco sours to top it all off!

Lima is a culinary utopia, leading every list of the best food cities in South America. Last year it was even one of Condé Nast's top three food cities in the entire world. 

So what do you say? You think those ruins can wait for one or two (or twelve) meals?
