Let's introduce you to Lake Atitlán...

Sitting to the east of Guatemala city, here you'll find a beautifully serene spot, with stunning views of surrounding mountains and volcanoes, lush green forests, and beautiful blue water.

There are loads of small, traditional villages dotted along the lake's shorelines too, like San Juan La Laguna, which has a rich culture, and is home to women-led weaving groups — you can read all about Flight Finder Kash's experience there here.

Sure it may take a couple of hours to get there from the city, but we promise it's worth the journey :-)
