Guatemala in $210s-$250s RT

We've told you about Guatemala city plenty of times, so let's branch out a bit — to the beach!

Unlike Mexico's beaches, Guatemala's tend to fly under the radar (at least for non-locals). Let's zero in on two towns a few hours south of the capitol: Iztapa and Monterrico!

• Iztapa - The surf here is nothing to sneeze at, but the main attaction is under the water. This is the hub for sailfish! Several world records have been set here, including a guy who caught and released 124 sailfish in a single day. If you've ever wanted the classic vacation photo where you're holding a giant fish, this is the spot.
• Monterrico - This black sand beach is the ideal place to unwind. Guatemala tends to be an adventurous place (all those volcano hikes!) so it's great to have a chill day or two on the agenda. Watch the sun set over the waves, or take a canoe tour through the mangroves.
