Bengaluru, India in $600s-$750s RT

Down in southern India, Bengaluru (aka Bangalore) is a bit more off the beaten track than Delhi or Mumbai. But that just means fewer tourists to crowd its ornate palaces and Victorian gardens!

And when you're ready to venture outside the city, you're only a couple hours away from some truly magnificent sites.

But the real draw here is the food. Sorry, northern India, but the spices and complex flavors of southern cuisine just can't be beat. These dishes are also a lot lighter and healthier than their northern cousins, so you don't even have to worry about screwing up your diet.

Honestly, if you think about it, it would be irresponsible of you not to stuff your face the whole time you're here :-)
