Forget about summer. Barcelona in the fall/winter is where it's at.

Sure, the beaches aren't quite as nice when the temps go down. But exploring the Gothic Quarter is wayyyyyy better without a horde of tourists around every corner. The same goes for poking around in the Sagrada Familia, too.

And if you find yourself missing the crowds, you can always pack into Europe's largest soccer stadium with about 100,000 other screaming fans :-)
