Sint Maarten in $270s-$300s RT

This little island is quite the melting pot. Not only is it split between Dutch and French control, there are about a hundred more nationalities living together too. 

This is most apparent in the culinary scene. Excellent French food is obviously super abundant, and there are tons of Asian and Mediterranean spots. There's even one New Orleans-themed eatery where you can dig into seared snapper and buttery lobster. For more local fare, stop at the roadside hubs called lolos for curry, seafood stew, and fresh-caught crab.

And as you might expect from such a gorgeous little piece of the Caribbean, dinner often comes with a spectacular view.
