With heaps of new Kigali dates for all, let's have a refresh of the gorilla trekking calendar...

Nov: Still in the shoulder season, the weather can be a bit hit or miss. On the plus side, you'll likely have fewer people in your trekking group.

Jan – Feb: Due to the dry weather and optimal trekking conditions, this is the busiest and priciest time to visit. Permits for Volcanoes National Park are limited and may have already sold out for the sooner dates. If you manage to secure one, we'd recommend booking your tour and accommodation ASAP. 

Mar – May: Despite the long rains during these months, you'll find gorilla treks still take place, albeit a little soggier. Although, the 30% permit discount does add a nice silver lining :-)

And then from June-September, you're back in the dry season!
