Istanbul in $430s-$720s RT

Everyone's knows Istanbul used to be Constantinople, but that wasn't its original name either. Before that, it was called New Rome, Byzantium, and Lygos. For a few years it was even called "Augusta Antonina" after an emperor's son.

Wonder why that name didn't make it into the song.

But no matter what you call it, that Turkish coffee tastes the same, those gleaming mosques are just as mind-blowing, and these flights are just as cheap! About half of these routes came up a few months ago but have since dropped lower than we've ever seen ($400s from NYC and Boston??? Insanity). The other half are routes we haven't seen in years, so we're happy for their return.

And Phoenix, this is a brand new route for us! So allow us to welcome you to Istanbul/Constantinople/New Rome/Byzantium/Lygos/Augusta Antonina :-)
