Have you ever been somewhere that completely alters your brain chemistry? A place that once you come back from, you know you're not the same person you were when you left? For me, that was Guatemala.

Sure, on the surface, you could chalk it up to 4am volcano hikes, plant medicine ceremonies and sunset yoga on the shores of Lake Atitlan. However, it was actually the challenges I faced there that have shaped the type of traveler I am today. I won't lie, some of them were really, really hard. 

With every plot twist comes an immense reward: a greater understanding of the world (and your place in it) and a desire to engage more with the locals and the land. 

I promise you'll have plenty of moments to flood your IG feed, but sometimes the ones that don't make it online are even sweeter :-)
