*non-stop* Whitehorse
at $180 RT from Vancouver
There’s gold in them thar hills!
Pay homage to prospectors of times past on the S.S. Klondike, one of Canada's last steam-powered sternwheeler's that transported gold miners and their hauls of riches.
From there, hike along the rushing white waters of the Yukon River. Fun fact—the water through the canyon resembles charging white horses, which gave Whitehorse its name!
Finally, after all your hard mining, take a 30-minute drive to the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs for some well-deserved rejuvenation.
How's that for striking gold :-)
PS: Since you'll be there in prime aurora season, follow this page for some tips on how/when to get a peek at the Dancing Lady.
