St. Thomas is a bona fide snorkeler's paradise, with crystal clear water and plenty of aquatic pals to meet.

But if you're more into the "chilling on the beach with a cocktail" part and not so much the "getting wet" part, you can still find a sweet undersea view. Just head over to the Caribbean's only underwater observatory, check out the critters inhabiting the coral reef, and get back to catching rays on the sandy shore next door. 

And if you'd prefer to stay away from dry land, that works too! You don't even have to go ashore for dinner :-)
