Relaxing on the beach is kind of a given when you're visiting the Caribbean, and Trinidad is no exception.

But if you can drag yourself away from those warm, sandy shores (big if), spend a little time exploring the rest of the island too. Port of Spain has some pretty sweet forts and one of the world's oldest botanical gardens, and walking around the city is a great way to burn off the calories from all the delicious Trini food you'll be eating. And don't forget to stop by Macqueripe Bay and hit the zipline!
