But to see the full display of nature's burnt golden hues, a trip to Minō Park (just 30 mins away by train) is a must!

With family friendly hiking trails, a cascading waterfall and a handful of hidden temples, you could easily spend a day wandering around here. 

And if it rains? Finding a cosy corner in a steamy ramen bar is an equally good option!

Travel tip: Look out for street food stalls selling momiji tempura. It's basically deep-fried maple leaves, which are an autumn speciality :-)
